The GREAT wheel

So I recently purchased a wine tasting wheel to further my knowledge of the many flavors and scents in a glass of wine. This thing is amazing..Who knew that there were so many different kinds of varietals in a single bottle or even single glass of wine! The wheel breaks down the many flavors by 7 categories: Faults, Developed, Other fruit, fruit(white), fruit(red), oak and malolactic(dairy). It then breaks down each category into specific categories for that category and then further into even more specific elements! It's pretty amazing when you think about it..so next time I sit down with a glass of wine, I will be using my wheel to try and find the varietal.
